That was rough! I eased in on a trail and ran into 4 doe. Decided to stay put and 10 minutes later had 3 bucks he runs with come straight to me. One stared at me forever and finally decided to turn around. I caught movement behind me and my buck had entered a small shooting lane 30 yds. I ranged him 33 and drew back. As I settled he quartered away and then bolted a good 100-150 yds. Stopped on a tree line, made a scrape and worked his way towards an oak thicket. I got on him again a few minutes later and he walked within 19 yds. This time he saw me and I wasn’t chancing the shot through a little brush. Hopefully didn’t push him too much. Climber is ready for this evening so we will see if he takes the same pattern he has been on the last 3 evenings.

My set up behind a big root pile from a tree blown over was pretty nice!
