Headed there for a quick quail trip this weekend. Any recommendations on places to eat? Wouldnt mind a nice steak Friday night.

Reata right downtown. Last time I stayed in the Holiday Inn express. It was clean and I think they had a free happy hour of sorts.

Just stayed there on a mule deer hunt. There aren't many food choices, but for steak eat at the Reata as already mentioned. Be sure to make a reservation.

I stayed at Americas Best Value Inn. Chose there because the rooms were HUGE so we had plenty of room to store our coolers and hunting gear without feeling crammed. The rooms are also exterior doors so no hallways or stairs to deal with.

For Mexican food try La Casita. It is located south of the railroad tracks and one block behind Jackson Football field. Small dining area so go early.

la casita is good mexican food. I grew up eating there. The Reatta is a good steak but it isn't cheap.
