I just bought a used native mariner propel and can't wait to get some fishing time. I took it for a spin a few days ago and really like the pedal vs paddle.

      Goose Island...tomorrow and Friday.
Zero chance of rain, winds under 10.

      Decisions were made.
      Its time to go fishing.

PM me if you'd like to join us.

I have a malibu 14 footer I haven't even taken out of the shipping bag because I can't get my yakima roof rack installed on my truck - which is a ridiculous problem to have, but a problem nonetheless.

Flow-troll fits perfect in a 5-gallon bucket with a aerator lid.
Should work good for keeping bait alive from bait shop to the reef.

Man that rig is great! Poly cutting boards? Where did you get them from, that set up looks nice I think I might have to adopt the ideas and try to see how I can mod my rid up.

            Thx, Nado.
I got the cutting boards at Wal Mart.
They cut like butter on a chop saw.

Here is an older picture of my yak. I have added a lot since, but it shows my "crate" made from a dog food storage container. I like it better than my old milk crate, because everything stays dry. Also, if pier fishing, surf and fishing from boat I can grab it a go.

I am hitting Lake Texoma here in about 5 minutes. Striper for dinner tonight!

Anytime we get 3mph winds I'm going out.

Leaving in the morning for my first trip in my new Pelican... Super excited, gonna be fishing on my dads pond, its bout 4-5 acres and has lots of areas that are unable to fish from the bank.

This weekend is looking great! I have plans to head out in CC with a fellow from work but then I saw the forecast and I might think about going BTB with some people down at the MP rigs on Saturday but IDK there is also a group going on Sunday BTB.

I took my pescador to fort boggy today. Floated around awhile throwing lures with no luck but had a good time. It's a small lake 15 acres I think but not a bad spot to go for a short trip or beginner like me. You don't have to worry about large boats because they don't allow them in the lake.

First trip to the salt in the books.
I shoulda bought a kayak a long time ago..

Worked a full day Wednesday, coached-up my boys baseball team, made dinner, led the homework brigade, tucked them in and packed. Left Austin at 1am, on the water at daybreak, no sleep.

No wind, no breeze, no fish.

So I start moving. Crossed the boat channel to East pocket and went way back in there.
                            The bay was like glass.
Wouldn’t you just know it, I see tails.

Burger, nap and back on the water at high tide.
Winds had picked up and we found fish.
Spent way too much time in a school of undersized trout. I just couldn’t leave.
                            Caught a couple keepers.

                            We’d planned on night fishing.
But it was all you can eat catfish at Pops, so it didn’t happen.

Happy to report my new bait setup worked like a champ overnight.

                            Friday was perfect.

I was getting comfortable in the boat. I ended up out in the middle of Aransas Bay chasing birds, it was awesome.
Birds bombing bait around me, rocking and rolling in the waves and lots of hookups.
Lost my anchor in the fun, one speck short of a limit.
No crappy phone pics of that.

My buddy caught a nice black drum for big fish of the weekend.

Hit a local lake last Friday with my Jack Russell. Fishing was slow but I managed to catch several nice Channel Cats and a few Crappie.
