I’m in the Ridge Top Stand. The ridge runs north and south and slopes off to the east and west. South end of it is covered in various hardwoods and thick understory. The north end is mostly grown up pines with an even thicker understory. Winds are calling for mostly south but it hit me at 360* on the way in. S-ESE is ideal for this spot. Lots of pigs and several deer over here. Last year I had pics of 2 over 150” on this same ridge.
IT IS HOT!!! I’m kind of burned out on these temps. 73 was the low and its the hottest 87* ever right now. So I left the Sitka breeches in the truck and will be rocking the short pants this evening. I’ll update as exiting things start to happen.
