Spring Food plots, getting ready.

Berseem is done by now. It lasts a little longer than crimson but is over by early summer. I wonder if what you are calling red clover was actually crimson and if so it supposed to be done. If not...I don't know.

Looks good. My plots are still fully saturated to under water and have been since December. It is really getting frustrating.

Are you putting any fertilizer or lime down?

We limed last fall. Put some fertilizer out when we planted. We will burn this plot in the fall before planting winter crops

I usually plant wheat with Austrian winter peas or medium red clover. I plant in September, depending on moisture, either early or late. I think I'm mixing rye and wheat this year though.

where do you usually get the seeds?

Your local feed store in late summer will be the best bet.

Food plots are up pretty good, I guess the deer have found something in it they like.
