Update on my Buddy

I posted a couple of days ago about my buddy Roger who is a firefighter/paramedic, husband and new dad. He’s hospitalized due to COVID. Updated last night is that he is in ICU in San Antonio and currently on ECMO. They are saying that his lungs are terribly damaged and that he needs a lung transplant. Realistically, Roger will never work as a firefighter/paramedic again. We have set up a GoFundMe to help he and Stephanie and Amelia. I’ll post the link below, help if you can and want to. Man, that is terrible to hear.. I too am a firefighter here in central Texas and can’t imagine such a thing. Prayers up to your buddy.

Bumping this back up. Roger has been through absolute hell. Long story, but still on ECMO and without a transplant because he wouldn’t be able to survive it at this point. They are debating taking him off ECMO and letting him go peacefully end of this week. I’m just sad beyond belief. Please pray for a miracle and for his family and department.
