add a fan to keep down the heat in the summer.
    Hens are easy.
    Layena Chicken Pellets.
Holds ~ 7 lbs of typical layer crumbles, New Ez-Fill² Design is more clog resistant, 4+ days for 6 adult hens, Easily cleaned and sanitized for bio security

these are the feeders that we use. they are awesome. Its a 4x4 pvc tube with a plastic plate at the bottom that allows the feed to funnel in.

Roost & Root is proud to offer quality backyard farm and garden lifestyle products. Check out their Storm Panel Set | Add-On For Backyard XL Sunroom - M1 .

look in the picture the round tube is the water system. its PVC pipe to a t to a down tube that has a nipple on the end. We have 11 birds now and we use 2 feeders and 2 waters. it last us about a week

You can buy hens from all over. Hens lay eggs about every 22 hours.
Fresh eggs... once you go fresh you will never eat store bought eggs again.

You can leave the eggs out for up to a month if you do not wash them. Once you wash them you have to put them in the fridge.

When in doubt about an egg. Float test. put it in the sink fill the sink with water. If if floats its bad.

keep them in the coop or they will crap all over your patio.
they will eat all the grass in your back yard.

dry meal worms from amazon are a great treat.
stick a golf ball in the laying area.

They’ll have a 6’Wx6’Hx12’L run to use during the day. We’ll let them in the yard on occasion, but only when my bird dog is in the house. We’re getting 4 mature hens (pets) from some friends that are downsizing and moving to a condo in town. They’re giving us their feeders, waterers, solar door, etc. from their coop/shed.

Who on earth would give their chickens such a nice deer blind with a screened in patio?

Very astute observation on your part. My plan from the beginning has been to make it a deer blind if the chickens don’t work out. Plus I’ll “have to” build another blind with the “leftover” material. [emoji23]

Just finished mine yesterday. Still have a few items to button up on it, but now the wife can pull the trigger on getting the chickens.

Ready for paint, then I’ll stain the trim & trim it out, then put the tin on the roof.
