Ivan put the hurt on them this afternoon. The summer pattern is solid and the fishing will be easy for the next 3 months.
All fish caught on jigs in 15 foot of water staged about half way down on standing timber.
Took less than 4 hours to put 50 in the ice chest.

Peep caught her fish for the year today! She wanted to go for a boat ride and swim but I told her she had to catch a crappie first! She reeled this one in and said come on daddy! Let's swim!! It was cold too!![emoji3]

Her momma took the picture and told her to pose with it!!

Best trip of the summer. I had Tracy Griffin and his bride out this morning and the laid waste to the Crappie. I can’t remember the last time we caught so many big fish in one trip. My ice chest normally holds 50 fish as I like to throw them on ice rather than in the live well. 25 fish into the trip we had to start using the live well. We couldn’t close the ice chest anymore.
Crystal was hurting bad with allergies but was still slamming big fish. Fish caught mostly on minnows with a few on jigs, 15 to 20 foot of water fish about half way down.

Fished lake Fork Friday and Saturday and another lake Sunday.
Fishing was pretty good Friday, fairly slow Saturday and really good Sunday.
All in it was a great time with my grandson as well as a couple of TBHers.

I have been using Nekid Tackle jig heads for all my crappie jigs. I talked to Ron Olguin this morning searching for some 3/8 oz heads with #4 sickle hooks and was happy to discover he not only offers the 3/8 oz but can pour 1/2 oz if someone wants them.
After getting a better understanding of everything they offer and his desire to build what fisherman and jig tiers are needing, I accepted a position on his pro staff.
Please let me know or contact Ron if you are searching for heavy heads to use with your livescope.

Which end of the lake? My sister lives way up on the north end and I told her she'd probably have to travel down south east to find a mess like this. I don't know the lake at all.
