He was a stud, thought about getting him mounted but he took that 12 gauge steel pretty hard.

This front brought quite a few more ducks down in my area.

This morning was the first time I could get out to the duck lease this season. My daughter is home on break from Aggieland and she wanted to go too. She had the hot hand today. Did a great job on decoying birds with her 20 gauge.

            Duck Season 2018-2019

My youngest son and some buddies made the haul to Mad Island this morning.

23 ducks and a snow goose made for 1 hell of a public land hunt but the double banded radio tracked mottled duck my son got was the trophy of a lifetime!!

Looking forward to the report from the biologist that took the radio transmitter.

Not a barn burner, but better than a kick in the nuts.

My oldest is home from A&M too. Him and some buddies has a pretty good hunt yesterday.

Can you school me on how you get wood ducks?

Hunt anywhere where there are oaks on the edge of the water or in the water. We have been hunting flooded timber in our river bottom and have been covered up in them.

Anyone ever tried something like these with success before? I want to try it out to see if I can get the geese flying over to come in while I’m duck hunting. Don’t wanna buy goose decoys if I may not even like goose hunting yet.

That’s awesome!!! Let us know the results from the biologist.

Are you taking mostly passing shots or jump shooting them?

Having a average season so far. Hopefully January gets a little better with bigger fronts.

Took the 20 gauge 2 3/4 inch chambered gun with some 6 shot to see what it can do. Was really impressed with how it did, got my first mottled duck feet down in the decoys!! Pretty bird!!
