          1968 VW Bug, no AC, faded tan paint. Dad paid $200 for it as we had to push start it often. I was embarrassed to drive it but didn't care since it was my ticket to go visit friends and party.

                      Yup my Dad wowed many a young neighborhood kid riding with us(including us early) by telling us the high beams turning off and on was "magic". He would hold his hands up in the dark car and it would change..... Look mom no hands!

                                Funny.
                                Got together with some lifelong buddies last weekend and this subject came up. I had a 77 Dodge pickup, 3 on the tree that had to start this way many times.
