      Lymph nodes. There are two per quarter. So a total of 8 per deer. This does not count the nodes in neck and head area.

        Who can ID this??

        Lymph nodes, and there are a lot more than 2. The most commonly seen are the two right by the front of the hindquarters where they meet the body.

            Those are the main reason I process my on meat. Most processors dont remove the gland and it makes the meat have a musty taste..
