Hunting With My Father

For the first time in almost 8 years, I was able to hunt opening weekend of both archery and gun season with my father. Opening of Archery season, I shot over the back of a nice 7-point. Gun deer opener was slow for us as well. Was able to spend all of last week at the lease with my dad, where he was able to connect with a nice 15-inch wide 8-point towards the end of the week. He told me he saw more deer in the last week than he had seen in the last 10 years. He said it felt weird passing on bucks that 10 years ago he would've shot on our old lease. I'm just glad I'm able to bring him out to my lease to try and get him a deer.
