    Factory 16” bolt action in 308, 6.5cm....

Does anyone make a factory bold action with a 16” barrel in 308, or 6.5cm? Just looking for a simple cheap truck gun. I know Remington makes the 700 tactical but looking for any other options. Ruger ranch is perfect but I want something a little hotter than the Grendel or blackout.

Buy a Bergara or Tikka and have it chopped. Bergara has the Ridge SP that’s 18”, but I don’t know of any others that are 16-16.5”.

I’d go with the Remington, otherwise find exactly what you want and have it cut down.

Remington, savage or an H&R handi type.

Here is what I ended up with in .308Click image for larger version

Ruger American compact. Same as the ranch without the 5 round mag, has a removable 3 rounder and comes in .308

Holding half to 3/4 all day long with this baby. Makes a great suppressor host, only complain is the stock feels just a bit too flimsy to load a bipod with but solid gun for the money and accuracy

Looks like they are 18”. Did they used to be 16?

                      It's a remington 700 sps but i had it cut from 20" to 13" and added a 3" qd.

16" total length. I just had it made so I need to shoot it but I've been to dang busy.

Some good rifles have been mentioned already.. but check out the little Winchesters. I saw them at cabelas.

Those little Rugers are some shooters, especially for the price.

That Winchester seems like a nice gun, price tag and button rifling are kind of turning me off though. Would definitely have to shoot one but I’ll keep that in the sights too

Just throwing that out there as another option for the OP.
