    Coleman treasures

I picked these up a couple of weeks ago.

    Red Coleman 200A 4/74 and Nickel plated 228D '48

I will get them cleaned up and fired up in the next week or so.

Both of these will go on the shelf after that. I've got plenty of user lanterns right now.

Agreed. I have two with reflectors on them for that very purpose.

Falls under the category of "if it ain't broke then don't fix it"

I've seen a few people post these, are they worth anything?

A few years ago I donated 3 of them that were given to me back in the late 70's. Should I have kept them?

It all depends on the condition and collector/buyer who is looking for that particular model. My brother paid $80 for the 200A that's near mint condition. I paid $25 for this one and it's good condition. The seriously collectors who have been in the game a long time have lots of 200A sitting on the shelf collection dust.

I've never paid more that $25 for a lantern. I have paid no more than $60 for stove. I have a mint condition never used 3 burner with all the paperwork and cardboard. It could fletch $100 plus with the right buyer. Some go for over $200. Now I am not ever going to sell mine though.

Start hitting the flea markets and garage sales. I avoid pawn shops, but there are hidden treasures every where. I look out of state all the time.

Come on Timmy! Quit hoarding it all! Leave some for everyone else.

Pull that 3 burner out and boil over some coffee and spill some bacon grease in it. Get it broke in man!

I'm beginning to think you need to start going to Coleman Anonymous.

Are you a Coleman collector or lantern collector?

I am a collector of lanterns, stoves, and heaters made by Coleman. Looking for the right ice chest and water jug. If I find something else made by Coleman that I can afford/want I will get it.

                              Coleman hiss

Took a little while to get fired up but she is hissing. Not bad for a single mantle lantern.
