I have been running the Tamron 150-600 on my Nikon D700 for a number of years and really like it as well. It has been a while but if my memory serves me, Nikon did not have the 200-500 when I got mine because if they had, I would have gotten the Nikon for the small price difference. I think I paid right at $1000 for mine.
I think in that zoom range, those lenses (Tamron, Sigma and Nikon) are a great value. Great pictures, thanks for sharing them with us.
