Knowing him and how his season went I say lack of activity at the Protein. My deer didn’t touch it during season for 2 years. They now hit it more than before however it’s nowhere near the amount of consumption as summertime. If they don’t touch it for 3-4 months then why feed it? I believe that is Sleepy’s reasoning.

Call cotton gins and ask for availability.
Some gins wont fill supersacks, some will.
The big sacks will hold about 1000 lbs.

Cottonseed is a PIA, and is labor intensive. But is will sure fatten them up!
I wouldn't mess with it if i didn't feed it to my cows also.

                  Cotton seed has

Gossypol is a natural phenol derived from the cotton plant (genus Gossypium). Gossypol is a phenolic aldehyde that permeates cells and acts as an inhibitor for several dehydrogenase enzymes. It is a yellow pigment.

This is what affects fertility in deer but they have to consume an in godly amount to have affects. In a natural setting deer self limit on cotton seed consumption, so no worries on it affecting fertility.

Me too if I can find some within a decent distance from Victoria to buy in bulk. I think I could haul a bunch on my dump trailer with the side extensions on
