73-75 grain R25 (work up to 75.....HOT)
115 berger VLD
3500-3600 FPS from a 25-26" bbl
It will perforate 3/8" AR500 steel

I've shot the 100gr Sierra BT at a couple of deer. They did not exit. FYI.
But they were DRT.

I ran a 1-10 twist Bartlein with 115 VLDs @ 3400-- rebarreled to a fast twist (1-7.5) to run the long 121gr Hammers and 131 Blackjacks--
7828ssc has been consistent but slightly slower velocity (3300~) than I had originally hoped.
Because of the reduced bearing surface some guys are getting over 3400 with 131s... which puts them, energy wise, in the league of the 7RM w/ 162s...
I'll be testing the 131s on Aoudad in three weeks!

Hey that recipe looks familiar! [emoji12]
Definitely proceed with caution as it is well above book max.
And yes it will blow through 3/8 AR500 even at 200 yards.

I have used Rl22 and 100 grain NBT. I have a late friend who was very passionate about a healthy charge of H1000 and 100 grain Barnes.
