I was a small child and my uncle had one- I had no idea what it was but only that it was called a Telephone. He handed me the leads and said “ I’ll call you” and gave it a crank! My father worked him over pretty well!

Grandpa had something similar. We found it one day. He said touch here and here. We did than he gave her a crank. Just a little one. It tickled. My brother tried it next. We spent the rest of the morning trying to outdo each other.
Grandpa couldn't play since he had a pacemaker. He wasn't afraid to crank it tho. He was trying to devise a way to hook his drill to it. That's when Grandma stepped in and told us to put it up. Grandpa was fixing to say something but he got "the look" from Grandma.
My brother and I couldn't figure out why our fingers and arms were getting stiff later that day.
