I picked up some of my mounts last week, I'll post better photos of both of them next week when I take them outside for picture day. This buck grossed 182" and has a net score of 175". Depending on the scorer he is a slick 7x7 or 7x6, I like to go with a slick 7x7. This buck was either 9 1/2 or 10 1/2 years old and from video I've seen he was normally a 10 point with trash/kickers along his bases for most of his mature life. This was his best set of antlers and its hard for me to believe that he is mine. I had a replica made of the horns which are the ones mounted in the picture, the original horns are still on the original skull for me to hold and admire up close. The mount and replica where done by Mesquite creek taxidermy in Pearsall. This deer has such symmetrical tines that when you stand on the side, he looks like he has a big spike for a main beam.
