I can't stand a cluttered site housing, so its a single pin for me!

Switched to single pin last year and never going back. Much more accurate left and right. Always hated the cluttered look

One pin slider is all I shoot any more, hha king pin and a spot hogg hog it. I much much prefer them to the multi pin sights I shot for years and years.

                5 pins 30-40-50-60-70
I hunt out west so an elk at 60 is not an issue.

How Many Pins Do You Use?

                  I currently use 3 pins (10, 20, 30), but I plan to bump it to 5 (20, 30, 40, 50, 60) if I get a western trip in the next few years.

I thought about going to a single pin, but I have had too many times where a deer will close 20-30 yards of distance in the time I’ve been drawn. I like being able to just switch my focus to a different pin, rather than having to completely wing it on impact change.

Although I have gotten lucky and haven’t had to take a shot longer that 23 yards in the last 5 years... I know that it will happen.

                    5. Sighted in to 60yrds. Not sure why, lol. Had a giant bedded down at 60 for over 2hrs last year. Still couldn’t bring myself to release an arrow. That 60 feels like 100+ in the tree.

                      Seven pins at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80

No plans to shoot an animal over 30, but 1. practicing at the longer ranges make the shorter distances feel like chip shots, and 2. I’m ready for the off chance I can take a second shot at a wounded animal. Happened once with a turkey I hit at 20 and put down at 50 with the help of correct planet alignment.

5 pins 20,30,40,50,60. I don't think 5 is too cluttered and it gives options if I want to let one fly a little further at a pig or coyote.
