Well we made through orientation, seems like it will be a crazy start in the morning but seems like a big enough area we can get away from a few hunters. Different kind of hunt than what I’m use to but should still be a blast

I’ll say from what I’ve been told by others...the start is crazy and most folks try to get out quick. But I’ve heard of several hunting as close to the blast off area as they could and finding good animals.

Well we just finished a really fun day. Saw a ton of Oryx and had shots at plenty, but finding a shooter was the biggest issue. I have to say that judging these things are as tough as they come, especially for someone like me who has never seen one before in the wild.

After passing on a few that we were going back and forth on we finally found a group bedded down on the side of a mountain. There was 1 that definitely stood out from the others just body size wise. Still wasn’t sure on the horns but my 12 year was and said it was a definite shooter. Had to wait him out for over an hour as he was bedded down. I was glad I listened to him. The bull ended up measuring just a hair shy of 37”
