We both qualify as old pharts, so just pick one. The cull buck is in front and I am the one with the TBH hat on! I is a trophy!

This buck came in this morning before daylight.

I waited until I was able to get good low light pics from the A7S III. It was a little difficult to judge with low light. His body fooled me a bit.
Then Casey sent this pic that GJ took in early December (wasn’t able to get a shot at him then) and it was a no brainer!
I was going to wait for better video light, but when he looked up and started staring at something to the East, I figured I probably didn’t have much time before he left! I sent the arrow on its way!

The shot felt and looked good, but I didn’t get a pass through. As the deer ran away, I could see a fairly significant length of it sticking out of the deers shoulder.
I was fairly confident that it had stopped in the offside shoulder, but as with almost every shot where I don’t see the deer go down, I started second guessing myself.
I decided to give him a little extra time.
