Score on this South Texas low fence buck?

I know his age. Saw him on a couole occasions last year as a big 8. He was probably upper 130s maybe 140 then. This year he's a good ten and at first I was thinking 150s then saw him on a couple hunts earlier this year and would have probably let an arrow fly had he given me a shot.

But now I'm thinking about giving him another year. Just don't know if my neighbors will on one side of us. Our lease is 1100 acres so not really small but not big either. No one else on the lease has pics of this buck. So for the time being he's mostly contained to my area. But knowing this deer from last year I'm sure he'll Rome once the rut starts.

Just wanted some opinions on score?

He's probably about 20" wide.

I think you’re spot on with the 150s. Prob mid to upper in my opinion. He’s purty for sure.

Craig you know anything can happen if you pass on a nice buck. Dont want a repeat that. That's my only fear here. That's the part of me that wants to take this deer. But I know he can be a stud in another year. He probably put on 15+" in a year.

Do you by chance know how many points he had the year before he was an 8pt?

From my experience it’s a toss up. I’ve seen many bucks that were 8pts at one time jump around on point total from year to year...losing points and/or gaining them back the next year. It drove me nuts taking them into deep water. Lol

But if was a fun learning experience.

IMO. It’s a gamble. I’ve won some but lost some as well. Sometimes you have to go with your gut on when to kill ‘em.

Nice deer. 1 am about a 145” guess.
Not many of us will be able to pass a 150 ish buck on our lease. I don’t expect my neighbors to.

Great beams, 2’s, and 3’s. With better brow tines, he’d be pushing 160. I’d give him mid 150’s now. Go kill him.
