Possums are known to eat snakes and can digest them easily. It is all because Possums are immune to the venom of the majority of snake species. For food, Possums don’t only rely on snakes. They only choose to hunt snakes if they are easy to catch or are found dead.

I always heard that too. I shot one a few years back and sat it on the tailgate of the pickup. Hundreds of ticks were crawling off of it. It seemed like the ticks were eating the opossum. It was one of the more disgusting things I've seen I would have to say.

Unless they eat ticks after they get on them. I guess that could be.....I don't know but that thing was a tick hotel.
