The first time I remember going on a road trip hunting adventure with my dad I killed a sheep near Uvalde. We just returned from another hunting adventure where I killed another sheep near Bracketville. We sandwiched a BUNCH of adventures, both hunting and otherwise, between these two hunts. Chris LeDoux sang, “Well I guess it's true then what the wise men say. When you ride your last one, make sure he's the best one, jump while he's movin', tip your hat boys and walk away”. If this was the last one, it was one of the best. I tip my hat to all of those that made our adventures possible including old friends, and new friends made along the way, but most importantly to my mom and my wife for being supportive of our time together and ‘holding down the fort’ while we were out making memories. There’s no doubt my old man would tip his hat to all of these individuals as well.
