Took my little man to the lease yesterday afternoon in Polk county. Lots of deer activity when we pulled up. Feeder went off at 6 and we had a dozen pigs on it 5 minutes later. 67 yard shot dropped the first one, then a single came back 10 minutes later and he dropped the hammer again. Not bad for 7 years old. He's pumped for this season but unfortunately he's gonna have to wait until youth weekend because I'll be up a tree with the bow. These were his first harvests ever. Proud dad here.

I have definitely seen it. But this year I have seen the best I ever have on the property I hunt. None during the day yet, but it still has my hopes up.

Also, this is the first year I have my spin feeder and gravity fed inside a pen with hog panels. This might be the difference, but not sure.

Very cool. You all are going to have a blast this year. Look forward to your updates.

I am at the lease doing some work this week....between each rain fall and I rode up on three of them at my un-penned feeder yesterday. They didnt even budge. 100 yards away and they just kept eating like I wasnt there.

Is that one older buck the same deer you've been chasing for a few seasons now? For some reason I'm thinking your neighbor got the big one, but I can't remember.
