        You know what lease I am on. And, our min is 4.5 year-olds. Every deer I have killed that was at a minimum 4.5 had at least 4" bases and above.

        He certainly had the body of at least a 5.5 year-old deer.

          I would have guessed 5+ years as well looking at the picture. Sometimes regardless of experience i feel we are all guessing.

              tooth ageing isn't an exact science. I had a biologist tell me one time that I shot a 3 year old deer after he looked at the teeth. I asked him how that could be since I have pictures of his from the last 5 years.

                My first thought was 3.5 but still a shooter. From a management standpoint not what he should be if past 2.5. No matter what he is as old as he is gonna get.
