No cards aren't mandatory. My wife don't play with one but I do lol. We both win about the same. The card tracks how much you play for comp purposes. Free rooms, food, ect.

Hell, it was all rigged for the player to lose from the jump. Anybody that thinks differently just ain’t played long enough. FTR, I don’t gamble with money in casinos, I do it with investments.

I don't trust anything that is electronic isn't gathering data on me, however I still throw a few bucks at slots when I go to the casino. I try to spend most of my times at the tables but it sure seems like I lose a lot less in the slot machines. I don't believe the slots are rigged because it would be a huge blow to the entire industry for something so petty.

It's really that simple. Slot machines use random number generating algorithms. Hitting a jackpot is literally random luck.

Are slot machines rigged? The answer is Yes to the extent that both the pay-out ratio and frequency are preset by the casino. The State gaming commissions have strict laws as to what the minimums of these presets can be and do conduct random audits of the various casinos to test it. Some casinos advertise better paying slot machines and that's what they are really stating; i.e. that their pay-out ratios and/or frequencies are set at higher percentages than other places.

As for players cards, I'd say that's primarily for tracking purposes. The casino can track just about everything about a player; what games they play, what's most popular, how often someone comes to the casino. It's also how comps are earned, tracked, etc. I've never been to a casino that required a players card. It's more like having a Randalls or CVS card. If you don't have one, you will not receive any discounts, etc.

We have a family friend that got one of the licenses in NOLA back in the day. He sold it within 10 years and now lives in Florida.

For those saying States set payouts (min payback etc).. I know that's true in Nevada but what about on Indian Reservations?

My buddy's mother in law hit 21mil at the Palms in 2008 playing slots. She's actually won several more large pots since including a Tesla. Some people are just luckier than others but not very many.

It appears they can instantly know everything about the player.. How long they play, time between slot "pulls", how much they bet, how many non-winning spins until they move or give up, how many days/hours they play before leaving etc...

With this data seems it would be easy to really manipulate who wins.

                            Thoughts?

I will say this. I go 1-3 times a year and on average bring $1,000. Everytime we go, it is with the same couple that, believe it or not, will spend 10-15k in 2 days.

EVERY SINGLE TRIP they hit more money, more often using their card. When they aren’t playing I will use their card and without fail will win more often. Switch to mine and my wife’s card and the wins are alot less and a lot less frequent.

                            Research “the taste”

It’s a strategy slots will do to hook you in. The ONLY time I win is playing “the taste”. Typically after a machine sits idle for a bit, it will give you a taste within the first 5 pulls. I bet the max for 5 - 10 pulls and if at anytime you get up from your original bet, you walk away. If you don’t hit the taste within 10 pulls you walk away. Normally works for me but is very hard to walk away if you only get up $20. But do it 5 times and you are up $100

It’s been rigged at least since the 1990s
