Help me find a deer rifle for my wife

Now, .243 or 7mm-08 for deer/pigs? I havent owned either, went from a .223 and jumped strait to 30.06 growing up

7-08 would be the better choice. But either one will do. .243 has killed a many deer

Got mine a 243. She shot a 1.5 inch group at 250 [emoji15]

Kills anything you ask it to as long as you put it in the right place.

I have a buddy that has that same upper on a rifle lower (yes he has a tax stamp) and it shoots very well.

Bought my daughter a lefty savage .243.
She’s right handed, left eyed like me. She started with 80 grain rem. cL
Now She shoot 95 grain federal fusions

If you bought a right Ruger American 6.5 and cut it down,
She will be good to go forever or it will be easy to sell!

Just make sure the scope is quality and has good eye relief so she is comfortable with the scope. Shoot lots of scoped .22 rounds to get quick with a scope.

My granddaughter has the left hand affliction. I got her a Savage Axis compact, LH bolt, in 7-08. She was 12 when I got it, and was 4 ft. nothing and weighed 65 lbs. It worked then, and now she is 16 and a lot taller. It still works.

I recommend the Ruger American in 6.5 CM. They are now making it in LH, as I have one.

I used this exact kit for my beater ranch rifle, killed a bunch of critters with it.

My wife is 5'0" 92lbs and shoots her old bull barrel Remington 700 6mm left handed.

IDK if youve tried to have her shoot right hand guns but my wife has no problems and actually prefers it due to she can run the bolt without moving her shooting hand.
