If you shoot the courses all weekend and don’t lose an arrow, hats off to you. Heck I’ve broke some on perfect shots when they blew through the target and hit a rock behind it.

Hunting arrows are expensive. I always shoot cheapie arrows for the TAC. Hurts a lot less losing a cheap arrow. Even the local archery shop guys shoot cheap arrows for this event.

I run the same setup I use for hunting. Lighted nocks and all. It’s the best hunting practice that you will get. Odd angles, not flat footing, have to kneel on a few. You will really learn the trajectory of your arrow. I did it in 2019, shot 3 courses a day for 3 days, I broke 7 arrows and lost 2. Stuff happens.

Ive been breaking an arrow almost each time I bring my bow out from random occurrences. Just had an insert pull out in my target. Couldn't locate it and pull it out. Managed to find it about an hour later with another arrow and shattered it...
