Not bad for a first hunt. Other than my service SUCKS!
Had a doe & 2 yearlings come in from the North bedding area straight to corn. I kick the camera on and I’m doing a little filming. While checking my perimeter here & there, I see movement thru the trees the same direction the first 3 deer came from.
Throw my Binos up and I see horns thru the leaves. Head down, Buck is feeding on acorns. I’m watching A little longer. Man that’s lots of horns. 1,2,3,4,5,6 on 1 side with a shorter g4 than his g5. It’s Big Bob @ 50 yards feeding on acorns.

My hearts racing at this point. I grab my bow and wait. Try to watch him thru the thickness of the limbs and leaves.
5 minutes of torture wondering if he’ll walk my way and he turns and goes back North In the bedding area.

Was awesome to see most of him in person. Disappointing that I had him that close with no shot opportunity. I’ll be back in the same tree in the morning. Hopefully Big Bob will have a repeat of this morning.

I’ll post pics of my set shortly.

Awesome, what unit you in? I'll head up around the 10th or so and hunt until Thanksgiving. This trip has been the highlight of my year for the last 16 years.
