I hope you cut the lure and didn’t just undo the snap ring. Sometimes I wonder if fishing barbless is worth it just for this situation.

My grandson and I catch a lot of catfish and sandbass. When he was younger I made him use barbless because he had difficulty getting the hooks out of the catfish as there's lots of cartilage in the corners of their mouths. I mash them down a lot too. I bet when I get one stuck like that I will wish it was barbless.Comment
