Fungus among us

This stuff pops up in my mulched beds every year in multiple spots. None of my neighbors ever seem to deal with it. Why me? What am I doing wrong?

I got that same weird fungus in my mulched flowerbed a couple weeks ago. I have no clue as to why, though.

Usually it’s because your soil and bed are in better shape. Don’t sweat it.

It's actually called dog vomit fungus. It only shows where you have good mulch and good soil. Won't hurt any thing.

This, aka Slime mold. It needs moisture to thrive, so is frequently seen after soaking rains when it is hot and humid. Had a bunch of it in my flower beds last year. None so far this year.
