We've seen him almost every day in the back but never have my phone ready and he is usually just passing through. Saw him when I was out at the stand Saturday with another one about the same size. Trying to get these guys over 34"+. I have 3 that I think we can get there in next 2 years.

That’s a nice Axis. Don’t think I could have let it walk.

Axis are nomadic. Bust it’s ***. You can’t manage a free roaming animal unless you are in a high fence. Not sure on you acreage or setup though.

True, but I consistently see same axis year after year. Neighbor has a large ranch next to me doesn't hunt the. Big ranch behind occasionally hunts them.

There are only two mass measurements per antler on axis deer.

Don’t believe he was referring to his antlers

I'd get the shakes just watching him through binocs!

Put me in the 32” crowd. And good on you for letting him walk. Needs another 2-3 years.

Nice deer. I watched one I have named "The Monster" chasing a doe yesterday behind my house. He'll go 36" I'm pretty sure and I've got several just like yours running around.
