Texas and Oklahoma have been subsidizing the other schools in the Big 12 for years. Before that, Texas subsidized the schools in the SWC. Now they are doing what is best for their programs.
The idea that this will ruin college football is ridiculous. All this is going to do is give people more premier matchups on television than there were previously.
the only thing UT football is premier on is VHS. Oklahoma has a true gripe. UT is just the rich kid throwing a hissy
I normally agree with everything you post regarding CFB but I think what some are saying is that college football is more than UT/A&M/OU etc. I’m a die hard SMU fan and when pushed, a longhorn as well, but I just love college football. I love watching TCU, Baylor, Tech and others compete and every once in a while, pull off an upset. I love the underdog, and if this plays out like I’m afraid it is going to, there won’t be any more of that. That sucks.
I don’t know. That might be a little harsh. He is kinda right you know. Doesn’t mean I have to like it but I completely understand what A&M did years ago and get why the current regime wants to take their ball and play elsewhere. Just think it sucks.
I had no idea we had this many socialists here on TBH.
I agree with Eradicator.
If we’re going this route, then you might as well do away with scholarship limits, let schools directly pay players, implement full on free agency and eliminate Title IX balance for women’s athletics.
Sorry, I’ve come to have higher expectations from you (that’s a compliment, btw.)
Yall really are special. The amount of little man syndrome that goes on in your head is unreal. You really think TShirt is a great insult. Especially when you have no idea where I graduated from. I have a businees gradute degree from UT. The SEC used aggy to get Texas and we all know it. It was made apparent last week when Aggy finally found out their current husband was courting the hot, rich 22 year old next door. Had been courting her for over a year.

You realize y’all have been dropping bags since 2011?

I totally get that and agree with you, but this new nil bs IMO would of ruined it for the smaller teams anyway…
Aggie did what was good for Aggie, Texas and OU are doing the same. It is what it is, they don’t owe anybody, anything.
The landscape is changing and they chose to be proactive.

As a 2%, this is my take also. Gonna make for great CFB if I ever stop working Saturdays enough to watch. What’s going to happen to the rest of the conference?
I see nothing bolded when viewing on Tapatalk. I assume you’re referring to paying players. Honestly, I’m not close enough to the program to know that, but I’m certain it’s not “allowed”...which is one of the main points of my post.
