The LHN as currently constituted will go away or get rolled into the SEC Network. Texas won't have its own network. The contract with ESPN will likely get rolled in to the SEC profit sharing, but there is chance that it is bought out by ESPN for Texas to use to pay the Big 12 buy out money.

It has been ESPNs plan all along. Not saying it is 100% but it has already been talked about for months.

It is part of the package, it wont be Texas 24/7.

Case in point. Okla State has 52 team national championships which ranks them 4th in the NCAA. One is in football and that's only if you count the one they were retroactively awarded for the 1945 season The rest are mostly in wrestling and golf -- non-revenue producing sports which very few people care about. Strong athletics across the board but without their football team in a major conference I wonder if there will be enough money for those other sports to survive.

I well aware of the of the inequity in income. Football drives and supports the others

None of this revolves around wins and loses in football or any other sport in my opinion. It's all about money and TV ratings. Who has the biggest fan base and can generate the most revenue. If it was about winning, Texas wouldn't be asked to sit at the dinner table. Since 2009, Texas' last national title contender, Ok State, TCU, Kansas State, Baylor and West Virginia all have more wins than Texas.. I would assume that there are teams on that list that will be left out because they are not big market schools. Sad state of affairs. Some really good schools that will get crushed in this fiasco bc of greed.

Same thing has happened in the retail world especially in small Texas towns.

I hope you're right about this. I hate seeing the same games over and over again and especially some of the other culture crap they show.

2004-2009 Texas made a run the others can only dream about. A couple of breaks away from multiple national championships. Nice how you started righr after that. Lol. The SEC also knows Texas can do it again whereas the others not so much.

                          That and the money.

I was simply stating a point. Typical arrogant response from you. Take the goggles off and look at things objectively for once. Honestly, I could care less what happens personally to Texas or the Bog 12. Tech is in a much better position than most to find a good landing spots bc of their fan base and ratings.

It's not about socialism. It's about doing what's best for college athletics and keeping it pure. Way too much **** politics and media involved these days.
