    Hill Country 11 pt- Down

First sit of the year, right in line with the cooler weather. Didn’t put out any cameras or do any scouting. Pretty non climatic ending, but this fella walk out about 1/2 hour after sun up. I had zero intention of shooting a deer this trip but he was one that I knew immediately was taking dirt nap. 25 yds, GR 125-watched him fall about 80 yards yonder. Came together like a play book and I’m very proud and thankful. Gillespie county, Free range and unmanaged deer herd , personal best of hunting this area for past 20 years.

Dang what a nice buck. I can see why you wouldn't hesitate shooting something like that. Congratulations on getting him, he almost looks like he has some mule deer in him. Beautiful buck! How wide?

                    Yep
I would have shot him on the first hunt of the years as well.
