How big are the new tanks?
One is about an acre - the other is smaller - maybe 1/2 acre.
I won’t build anything but tanks, however the big creek and topography would probably support a 30-40 acre lake. It would flood a lot of good bottomland and wouldn’t be cheap - but the creek moves a lot of water and just stopped flowing in mid July.
The pigs must be getting hot. They have made wallows all along the edges and every low spot still holding water.

Some birds. Our sunflowers are thin this year as the fields have never been seeded.
We will disc and seed this winter so 2020 will be a different story.
The other ranch we hunt south of Albany is covered up in birds, but we have farmed it for doves a long time and it has some solid sunflower fields.
I’d be interested to see what others are seeing dove wise this year so far.

We might be neighbors. I'm not sure if you are off CR317 or 880 (not asking either) but our lease is about 8 miles north of Putnam as well.
I am on the E side of 315. 880 is about 1.5 miles back to the east at its closest point - off my East fence line. There is a fairly large ranch between myself and 880, that I am told has a group leasing it.
I’ve seen a few of their blinds, but have not seen anyone over there to say hi.
