Any experience with DIY propane fire pit?

I would highly advise against this idea. I’ve recently come to the realization that every time I’m around a fire pit/campfire I wake up with a terrible headache. Seeing as how the evening menu has varied I narrowed it down to the fire as the cause.

maybe you just stay around the fire to long

Thanks for all the help everyone. Stuck... I read that this can happen if there isn't enough oxygen to mix with propane... did you ventilate under the burners?
