    Kyvek or Leather Holster

Just picked up a new "Bear" toy. Trying to decide if I want leather or kyvek chest holster.

Leather will give you a quieter draw, if that is important to you.

Both! This time of year I use Tyvek. Once it starts cooling off I switch to leather.

For a chest holster, I'd prefer leather or Cordura. Kydex, to me, is better suited for a belt holster.

Leather but I'm more of a traditionalist.

I like the Gunfighters Kenai holster

Kydex only for me going forward. I have some very nice leather, and they just don’t cut it for me. Fit/retention changes with weather, inconsistent retention which equates to inconsistent draw, trap more dirt and debris, hold moisture, etc.

The only Thing it has going for it Over kydex is a quieter draw, But even that is debatable if your leather holster fits your pistol properly.

Sir, whatever way you decide to go....train/practice drawing from it at the range or wherever you shoot. This will make you most proficient with whatever platform you choose.

Lots of reps drawing from it, sight acquisition and engaging your threat.
