Ive shot so many years like that its become second nature were to hold. All that said, if its a stinkin black buck or a hog. I'll shoot em as far as i can see em. I can get my slider out to 90yds. My sight has 5 pins (20,30,40,50,&60) I practice out to about 70 yards, but come hunting season, I slide my bottom 4 down all the way and only use the 20. I don't shoot at game beyond 20-25 yards so removing the pins helps to remove to temptation to shoot further. Plus, I wont accidentally look at the wrong pin by mistake.

There is not a bow fast enough or quiet enough that they cant make a fool out of. Thats based on 25 years bowhunting experience. Not hear say.
This is true and I normally won't shoot over 30 but I killed a cull this year at 42 that we had been trying to get and did get him....I know luck was involved but I only took the shot because I have 5 pins and normally practice out to 60.

                          7 here.

                          20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80

Take shots you are comforable with some people that is 10 yards some 50 yards or more. It took some getting use to the 7 because I switched from a single pin but think the 7 is a better option for the hunting I do.
