First Success on Blanco County Lease! Axis Video

As I mentioned previously, I got on what is really my first deer lease ever for the upcoming season, joining Casey, Les and Stins on 743 beautiful acres in Blanco County.

I made a slight detour on my way home from our Burleson office last week and squeezed in a couple of quick hunts for Axis deer. I managed to arrow my first ever axis deer - a good sized doe - last Tuesday afternoon, and managed to capture it on video.

It's been awhile since I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel, but I finally got a little time to throw something together! It'll go "public" next week, but here's a little sneak peak for TBH!

We have some decent bucks roaming around in a few different herds, so hopefully I'll have an opportunity to get back out there and hunt before Casey scares them all off!

You crazy with that shot angle, Bossman

Glad you smacked a big ol' nanny. Any polka dot with a bow is a good one.

      She'll eat

Yeah, what Adam said. Any polka dot with a bow is a challenge. You're right, they don't stay long when they come in. But what a great way to break in a new bow! Congrats!

Great video, thanks for sharing. The axis still haven't slipped up while I am in the bow blind, they are paranoid!

Kewl! I love axis. My favorite deer. With all those young bucks, the future looks bright.
