    What is this?

A buddy just got a small place between Lampasas and Burnet. Large ranch that is being subdivided into small acreage parcels. All low fenced.

Sent me this pic this morning. Resolution isn't great, angle isn't great.

    Any ideas?

Most of those subdivided places lure you in with pictures of all kinds of exotics. Truth is you usually don't get to shoot one. The tags are issued by a biologist by parcel size. If he has one of the small parcels he gets to watch them grow.

Had a lease outside South West of Lampasas and we has several exotics. Enjoyed watching. Had a young Fallow come out and thought about getting some meat, but let him walk. The lease is now a sub-division. D--- shame. Will growth ever stop???

My place is almost at the end of cr108 north end of Burnet co. We see fallow 2-3 times a year, axis doe sometimes. Ranch across the road has 4 Lechwe that just showed up last year and stayed.
