So after a grueling hike up we locate some goats. Several on a face. Lonnie spots a good one and I setup for a shot.
200 yd shot, I squeeze the trigger. Expecting a follow up. Lonnie says “ you dropped it”. I can’t hardly believe it!!! I ask are u serious?? We share a hug and I thank for helping fulfill my #1 dream and goal.
Lonnie packed a couple beers for anticipated celebration. It’s Bud Light...I hate Bud Light!!! But rt now nothing will erase this smile!!

      On top of the world!!!!

Next morning was RR for me. Legs were SORE! Hot tub helped!!, Lonnie caped out my goat.

One crew headed up another mountain in search of a stone ram. Al my bunkmate is 74yd old 5th degree black belt ******!! He has been great guy to hang with. Very positive guy. They will overnight in a spike camp and stay til get opportunity.

We worried about sheep hunters because clouds were low and weather was scheduled to move in. Fortunately clouds cleared up and Al got his chance. He flattened a ram at 400 yds, Doug took a cull ram w/awesome character too.
                Al’s ram.
                Doug’s ram

Had this elk bull called in to 80 yds., but not legal.
After a bear. Five minutes from glassing him and we are clouded in, no dice. We keep on trucking hunting for animals down below. Few encounters but generally quiet for next few days.
