From what I’ve read in the past, Texas has never produced a lot of gold. I think there are some creeks and such down in the hill country where some gold has been found. Mainly dust and small flakes. I read an article on gold in Texas not too long ago actually and they stated that most of the gold found in Texas was stumbled on while mining for other things.

For some reason I thought I read on here that there was a guy who found some in the Brazos. I might be mistaken though.

Supposedly some gold dust in the Llano, have seen folks panning there before.
Also some is west Texas I believe; Shafter is best known for the silver mines but think I read gold was also pulled from the mines.

My dad filled up a guys truck who said he was from Dubai and he gave him a gold chain and a gold ring. Said he couldn’t take a hand out so he gave him the ring and chain.

He also said he was rich and couldn’t access his money.

This was at the shell on Walden and 1-10. I told my dad there’s a lot of people that a looking for a prince that owes them a lot of money and he should have taken a pic.

I've read about a bit being found in Llano County along the river, the gold panning/mining show that came on once upon a time supposedly had a club membership with property members could go to to try their luck.
