Washington state has no state income tax, sales tax similar to Texas and property taxes are a fraction of what we pay here.
I don't know what your experience is but I owned some property in the sixth avenue district of Tacoma for a few years and property taxes were as high or higher than any I have paid in Texas. Maybe on the whole they might have lower property taxes? Not sure, but even if their millage rate is marginally lower they have higher home prices. Tax burden in Washington is pretty high.

Randy are you trying to go watch the live version of “Garca Visits Jussasic Park”? I will see of I can find the trailer and send it to you and hold you over and maybe keep you here a little longer

So do those folks really have a statue of Lenin erected there? If so the sheeple have lost their minds.

It is privately owned and on private property. The guy who bought it died before he could put it where he wanted (no idea where), but it has been for sale since he died, 26 years ago.

I hope to never see any pictures or video of Garca again in my lifetime.

Sadly, Austin is dying as well. IMHO
We can only hope the people have spoken with the camping ban vote passing.

I lived in Snoqualmie, King County (same country as Seattle) for almost 10 years. The house I owned there cost double the price of the house I bought when I moved back to Texas and the property taxes were less than half as much. I have owned two homes there and three homes in Texas and total property tax there were under 1% of assessed value while here in Texas I have never paid less than 3%.

Bill had three cats when they met...all mysteriously disappeared.
