Just got done gorging myself on dove, time to finish up the last bit of packing and get ready to hit the road in the morning. Anticipation is killing me! Temps are looking to be warm and hot. I’m sure the skeeters will be out in full force. Hope a biggun steps out, cause it’s not looking to be a very comfortable hunt. Still doesn’t lower my expectations. This place has been good to us!

We live in SE Iowa. It was nice most of August. Lows in the 50s. Highs in the 70s. So far September has been kinda warm other than yesterday. The high temp yesterday was in the upper 60s. It looks like the warmer air pattern is moving back in for this week.

Figured I’d go ahead and get this one started. Made sure the muzzleloader was dialed in this morning and getting ready to start packing. We’ll be headed back to Kansas on Sunday for the Monday opener. I’m getting anxious and a little giddy giddy!

We finally made it to camp! Glad to see the guys and get the party started. Waiting on our favorite chef to arrive and a man’s beverage. I think tomorrow is going to be a good day!
