Gotcha. I’m just headed to unit 9, landowner tags, hunting a larger ranch with a lot of water sources. Was curious if it may be same set up. Doesn’t sound like it though. Good luck.

54 Days for me to be in Colorado. It is rifle but I cant wait, this will be our third year in a row to go. It keeps getting better with new gear every year this year we got a new Davis wall tent to keep things comfortable.

I'm going on my first elk hunt in September and am debating which rifle to use. It's between a Remington Sendero 7 mag (160 grain nosler partition) and a Sako .338 mag (haven't picked bullet yet).

Any suggestions?

Either rifle with a partition will be more than plenty of gun. I would take whichever you shoot better or are more comfortable with.
