    Trailer mounted game hoist

Just finished a HD lowboy remodel so we would have a larger trailer to haul gear and protein to lease throughout the year. Before paint, I sensed in a vertical pipe so I could build a smaller skinning hoist that would mount right behind the axels.

Began work on it this AM. Will be using a winch that utilizes a 2” strap instead of cable.

Used some stainless rod and stainless pipe for rollers for the strap.

No idea why the word “welded” got auto-corrected to the word “sensed” in the first paragraph.... [emoji15]

The upright pipe transitions to square tubing and tubing is also used on the arm. Both pieces have a solid piece of 3/4” hot roll bar welded inside for added strength. It’s still a lot smaller footprint and much lighter than the receiver hitch mount one I have from 2” tubing.
I may build a receiver hitch mount for this one to slip into as well.

The upright pipe is heavy walled 1.25” and the square tubing is 1” heavy. I’m 230 pounds and can hang on it with no felt flex.
