Killed this 50# hog Friday evening. 13 yard shot using a mechanics glove instead of my saunders tab because I had grabbed the wrong tackle box (the oh $#!+ moment when I looked in the box to see an hooter owl call, a box call, crow call... etc... instead of tabs, stringers, nocks, heads, etc... was well... unforgettable)
Oddly made what was my best shot on him. Momma wouldn't give me a shot, so this guy paid the price for her sins.
Center punched shoulder, heart shot. The family ran away, he bolted right for me and bounced off the popup and snapped the arrow of on the tree it is under. Didn't have to look far to find the arrow
I did have a moment or two of confusion when I found him. He had a very deep and fresh gash about 4" wide across his face that went down to the bone. For a while I thought I hit him in the head... but at the skinning rack, I found the entrance in the shoulder and the broadhead in its chest.
